The staff at Case Works forms
a team that is setting the standard in litigation support services

The Case Works leadership team shares a common passion for empowering law firms as they seek justice for clients who have been injured. Their collective experience spans medicine, technology, law, finance, operations and many other areas. Together, they form a team that is setting the standard in litigation support services.

Susan Barfield is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Case Works. Susan has an extensive career in nursing and operations.

Prior to Case Works, Susan was Vice President of Clinical Operations for a national medical startup. The fast paced, high demanding environment of a start-up company taught Susan that in order to consistently excel and be a key company resource, she had to pilot new business practices, drive operations across a multi-disciplined organization, be result-oriented, identify trends and opportunities for strategic growth, and leverage expertise and resources across the business environment to effectively lead and direct teams. She was a proven problem solver who simplified complex problems into executable business solutions with measurable outcomes.

Susan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.

Susan was nominated in Austin Business Journal for the 2019 & 2021 Profiles in Power, Central Texas Women of Influence Award and Best CEO.

When Susan is not working, you will find her with Ken at their lake house listening to music on their boat.

Ken has spent parts of three decades in the Technology Industry with 20+ years leading multifaceted global engineering, quality, project management and operations teams.

Ken has previously worked as the VP of World Wide Operations for a Technology Company. He left the Tech Industry and joined his wife Susan to help her grow Case Works. He enjoys analyzing and solving problems and using technology to make Case Works efficient.

At Case Works he wears many hats – creating financial reports, running analytics, reporting, evaluating technology, to running the Client Operations and Case Operations teams to ensure our Clients are delighted by our results.

He enjoys climbing mountains, listening to music, eating great food, and enjoying time on the lake with his wife, Susan, their kids and their Golden Doodle, Berkley.
