Kim Anderson

Kim is a repeat successful operating executive with a broad track record rapidly scaling tech-enabled service firms through organic growth and M&A.

He is Founder of Longitude Partners, retained executive search consultants for the specialty finance and fintech sectors. He is also Operating Partner for C9 Partners and was previously CEO and Operating Partner for Vector Capital’s specialty finance portfolio companies growing enterprise value by over 150%.

In 2017, he helped found and was CEO of iVita Financial, a PE sponsored fintech patient finance provider. Kim has served in additional executive assignments at CL Verify, IDT Financial Services, FIS and Deluxe Corp where he led the IPO of eFunds creating $1.2B in shareholder value.

Kim’s Board and Advisor service includes Money 20/20, the Third Party Payments Processor Association, Essential Lending, Tuo Credit Builder, Online Lenders Alliance, Caliber Financial Services and others. He is also an AKC Pointing Breeds Hunt Test judge and spends his rare free time on horseback in the bird fields from Pennsylvania to Florida.


Susan Barfield is the Founder and Chair of the Board at Case Works. Susan has an extensive career in nursing and operations.

Prior to Case Works, Susan was Vice President of Clinical Operations for a national medical startup. The fast paced, high demanding environment of a start-up company taught Susan that in order to consistently excel and be a key company resource, she had to pilot new business practices, drive operations across a multi-disciplined organization, be result-oriented, identify trends and opportunities for strategic growth, and leverage expertise and resources across the business environment to effectively lead and direct teams. She was a proven problem solver who simplified complex problems into executable business solutions with measurable outcomes.

Susan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.

Susan was nominated in Austin Business Journal for the 2019 & 2021 Profiles in Power, Central Texas Women of Influence Award and Best CEO.

When Susan is not working, you will find her with Ken at their lake house listening to music on their boat.


Ken has spent parts of three decades in the Technology Industry with 20+ years leading multifaceted global engineering, quality, project management and operations teams.

Ken has previously worked as the VP of World Wide Operations for a Technology Company. He left the Tech Industry and joined his wife Susan to help her grow Case Works. He enjoys analyzing and solving problems and using technology to make Case Works efficient.

At Case Works he wears many hats – creating financial reports, running analytics, reporting, evaluating technology, to running the Client Operations and Case Operations teams to ensure our Clients are delighted by our results.

He enjoys climbing mountains, listening to music, eating great food, and enjoying time on the lake with his wife, Susan, their kids and their Golden Doodle, Berkley.

Dan Comunale | VP of Sales and Marketing

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing , Dan is an invaluable member of the Case Works team as he manages all sales and marketing efforts for the company.

His sole focus is dedicated to growing the business and making sure that every project is aligned with the exceptional customer service that Case Works clients have come to know and expect. Dan prides himself on delivering an exceptional client experience and being a resource to our clients at every turn of the litigation life cycle. Dan travels around the country to meet and develop deep seeded relationships with our clients, litigation leaders, vendors, and funding partners. His goal is to exceed client expectations and develop longstanding partnerships. Dan has a proven record of success with litigation support services in the Mass Tort industry. He leverages technology, advanced analytics, and disciplined execution to drive growth and value to the firms he supports.In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his beautiful family, his new puppies, exercising, playing lacrosse, and expanding upon business ventures.


Ben is currently the Chairman of C9 PROVE Holdings, LLC, a healthcare financing and complex claims management business and the Managing Member of Echelon Asset Holdings, LLC, a specialty vehicle in the healthcare sector.

Prior to founding C9, he served as Vice President at Lovell Minnick Partners, a middle market private equity fund managing $1.9 billion in AUM with a focus on the financial services sector.

Prior to completing his joint JDMBA at Northwestern University, he was an associate at Century Equity Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm managing over $700 million with a focus on the financial services and healthcare sectors.

Previously, Ben was a Senior Analyst within the Investment Banking Department of Raymond James where he focused on M&A in the financial technology services sectors. He currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Southern California Northwestern Pritzker School of Law Alumni Association.
